If you have a problem, would like a new feature, or otherwise have a report to make about one of my projects, please use a ticket to report it.

Please provide an email address when reporting the ticket. This ensures that any extra necessary information can be collected at a later date. Trac anonymizes your email by removing the domain (showing name@... instead of name@example.com), for any user that is not logged in, and I am the only user that has a login! So your address will not be leaked out to spammers or anyone else, but you will be notified when there is a change to the ticket, like if I have a question for you.

Also, it is important to indicate which project you are referencing, in the Component drop-down box. It is helpful to also select the version of that project that you are using.

Important Details

When reporting a problem, it's critical to include enough detail for the problem to be understood, and usually to be repeated. These are all important details:

  • Firefox or Thunderbird?
    • What version?
    • The english language version?
      • If not, which?
  • What operating system?
  • Do you have other extensions installed? Which?
  • Do you have other themes installed? Which? Which are you using?
  • Have you tried testing with a BlankProfile?

Then, about the problem itself:

  • What did you do when the problem revealed itself?
  • What did you expect that didn't happen, or didn't expect that did happen?
  • Are there any messages in the Error Console or Javascript Console? Do new ones appear when the problem happens?
