"Report Web Forgery" menu item disabled

Reported by: kev@tnw.org Assigned to: t-bone (accepted)
Priority: minor Component: Tiny Menu
Version: 1.4 Severity: Disrupts Browser

Description

In my limited testing on Windows XP/ FF 2.0, Tiny Menu works great - I love it - but it for some reason renders the "Report Web Forgery" option on the Help menu as disabled.

Restarting FF with Tiny Menu disabled restores the functionality to the item.

Thanks!

Addendum (from same person):

I updated to Tiny Menu 1.4 when I realized a newer version was available from your site that from the Mozilla add-ons site. But, the problem is still present. :) FYI.

What I've discovered so far is that this menu item starts up disabled, and is later set to an enabled or disabled status depending on the URL. (It remains disabled for internal pages like "about:config", "file://" URLs on your drive, etc.)

The setReportPhishingMenu function is called only on the onpopupshowing event of the help menu. It appears that this event triggers only for the top-level menus (like Help starts out at) and is never triggered for sub-menus (like Tiny Menu moves it to).

Now that I think I know the problem, I've got to search for a fix.
