"Link" tabs immediate right, "New" tabs far right

Description

Having links open new tabs on the immediate right, and closing the new tabs back to the left is awesome. But when I open a brand new tab (CTRL+T), a bookmark, or make a new search, it would be nice to open on the far right as usual, or at least an option to allow that.

The reason is simple. When I click a link on the current tab there's a causal relationship between the current and new tabs, so the tab proximity is justified. But when I simply want a brand new tab (or search, or bookmark), it has nothing to do with the current tab and should be opened on the far right (IMO).

There's another add-on that allows this, as an option on about:config - Tabs Open Relative. I chose Tab Control over that add-on because it doesn't support returning focus to the left tab on close (among other great Tab Control features).

Please consider this option; even disabled by default it would be useful.

Keep up the great work.

This makes sense, for a lot of users, including me, this will feel more natural (see addons page on mozilla.org), for the reasons t-bone described so well.

Thx for making the addon.

I'd like to see this enhancement, too.

I like the tab ordering / grouping features of Chrome, but I need to use Firefox for all the other addon goodies that you can get with it.

Tab Control is the only one that comes close, and is missing this last feature to make it complete.
