Feature request: redirecting javascript:// links

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: t-bone
Priority: minor Component: Tab Control
Version: Severity: Unknown
Keywords: tab javascript redirect Cc:

Description

This extension should have the ability to redirect a  javascript:// link into a new tab. It's annoying when a website uses javascript for the href in all their links. When you tab them, nothing happens. If the javascript could be executed and then the new page loaded into a new tab instead, that would be better.

While I agree that this might be a nice feature to have, it isn't generally possible. There's no knowing ahead of time what that javascript might be doing. Is it even opening a page?

You can try a greasemonkey script I wrote to try to tackle this once:  http://arantius.com/misc/greasemonkey/javascript-in-new-tab.user.js

But it's not perfect either.
