Bookmarks folder always collapses if using del.icio.us bookmarks extension

I use the del.icio.us bookmarks extension ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3615/) and when I select to display the Bookmarks menu item it doesn't show up.

I know that this extension replaces the bookmark functionality.

If you could fix this then I would be very happy!

Works fine for me, in version 1.4.2 if that matters. I'm going to need more detail. Please read the page on Tickets about what to provide.

Sorry I didn't mean that is shows in the little menu, I meant that it doesn't show in the main menu bar if I tick the "bookmarks" box. Please see the attachments. I've attached one of the options within TinyMenu to display the Tools and Bookmarks menus. One of the only the tools menu showing and not the bookmarks One of the bookmarks showing up in the normal tiny menu rather than on the top menu.

I see! Yes, this is because the del.icio.us extension is incompatible. It actually "removes" the original bookmarks menu, and replaces it with its own. Thus Tiny Menu is, technically, doing what you asked.

The "Bookmarks" menu is not collapsed, but it is hidden by del.icio.us. The other menu, labeled "Bookmarks" but for the del.icio.us extension, is not collapsed, because it is not "the bookmarks menu".

See  my blog page for this extension, in the comments. In short, for a work around:

1. Open  about:config
2. For convenience, enter tinymenu in the "filter" box at the top.
3. Find the preference named tinymenu.doNotCollapse and add the value (in this case, for the del.icio.us extension) yb_menu. This preference is a space-separated list so right click, modify, and at the end add a space and then that value.

After a restart the del.icio.us specific bookmarks menu should now be not collapsed. This will be re-set if you reconfigure Tiny Menu via its options window, so you will have to repeat these steps, in that case. Sorry this is a little less than perfect, but I can't possibly try to special case out every possibility for every different extension that may or may not be installed.

Thank you so much for this information, I've just done as you said and it worked a treat! And I completely understand about not fixing issues resulting from different extensions clashing, I'm just very pleased it's all working!
