tiny menu not working properly on FF3-linux

Reported by: r087r70@… Owned by: t-bone
Priority: major Component: Tiny Menu
Version: 1.4.8 Severity: Broken
Keywords: FF3 linux Cc:

Description

I installed the 1.4.8 version of tiny-menu on my FF3-pre1-linux version. Like shown in the attached image, the menu bar does not disappear, but stays on top of the navigation bar, with the tiny-menu button on it.

It works fine on FF2 with the same set of extensions: Flashblock, DownloadStatusbar, DownloadHelper, Foxmarks, Linkification, Oldbar, PaasswordExporter, Stop-or-Reload-Button, TabMixPlus, UserAgentSwitcher, AdBlockPlus, ColorfulTabs.

How does this differ from the behavior on FF2? Everything you've described is intended behavior.

Replying to t-bone:

No input from reporter. Working as intended.

I attached an image to show the bug! The problem is that the menu button stays on the menubar insted of the navigation bar, as happens with FF2.

I added an image of the working FF2 version.

All the images you've attached show intended behavior. The only problem you've described is "the menu bar does not disappear".

No part of this extension is intended to make the menu bar disappear. All the pictures you've added show the extension working as it's supposed to.

You say "It works fine on FF2" but you don't describe any way the behavior is different, between FF2 and FF3.

I also highly suspect you haven't read the documentation on the home page.

I suppose that the tiny menu is though to gain some vertical space, by reducing the menu to a single button and to put it near the arrows of firefox. Now there's no way to do that in FF3: it reduces the menu to a single button, but I can not put it down on the navigation bar!

This is meaningful because I don't gain any space and moreover I have a spayed menu.

Somewhere you say: "No part of this extension is intended to make the menu bar disappear.", but if you look at the last image I attached, the menu-bar and the navigation-bar are fused so that more space is dedicated to web pages.

Read the documentation. This is clearly explained.
